Did you think it was gonna stay dark forever
Did you think that the sun would never rise
Did you think you could keep me in the dark forever
Did you think I would never open my eyes
Now I’m awake and I’m not going back to sleep again
Eyes wide open and one foot out the door
It’s a big world outside but I didn’t know it then
It’s much too big for pretending anymore
When the world was small
I couldn’t see at all
All the things that you did when you did what you did to me
But now I see it all
Yeah I see it all
Everybody knows that the lights go on eventually
Did you think you could look me in the eye and lie again
I got your tell so fold your hand and run
Come back around and you might find out my friend
The games you’ve been playing I’ve already won
When the world was small
I couldn’t see at all
All the things that you did when you did what you did to me
But now I see it all
Yeah I see it all
Everybody knows that the lights go on eventually
Stranger listen
There’s something I need to say
I can forgive but I can’t forget and just walk away
When the world was small
I couldn’t see at all
All the things that you did when you did what you did to me
But now I see it all
Yeah I see it all
Everybody knows that the lights go on eventually

The lyrics, vocals and music make me feel things. The sounds are evocative of a time gone by yet couldn't be more now. One of my favorite bands. amylynn11

Female led dreampop band sort of.....this band looks both forward and backwards on the musical time line spectrum.
Melodies are very similar to post-punk movement in UK with bands like the Cure, Simple Minds, New Order, Echo...etc...etc.....
Yet at the same time has a lot of dreampop and shoegazer elements.
Its actually going to be one of my favorite buys of 2014.
Give it whirl for yourselves! Agent K

When I first heard Mercury, I had a hard time getting past the change in sound. Then I saw the band in '98 near Chicago at a reunion show, and everything made sense. After that show, Mercury became one of my favorite records of all time. HUMB shows what Mercury was intended to be, and it's raw, aggressively mixed, without the "arena" feel that Mercury has. The record sounds ahead of its time, honestly, and is a must-own for any TPC fan. A rare definitive statement from a groundbreaking band. djzachlorton
